Watch What I Do | A Testimony of God's Provision

When God speaks, we don't always know what He's about to do. Sometimes, all He asks of us is to trust Him and watch. There are four words that have stayed with me throughout my walk with God.

“Watch what I do.” For years, I have heard these words in my spirit during moments of prayer, particularly when I have been facing uncertainty or standing at the beginning of something new. To me, they carry the warmth and reassurance of a loving Father. Almost as though God is saying, "Just wait. I have something wonderful planned for you." Over the years, I have heard other men and women of faith speak those exact same words. Every time, I am reminded of how personally and powerfully those words have spoken to my own heart. But there is one experience in particular that I will never forget.

A Season of Starting Over

In 2018, I found myself in one of the most difficult seasons of my life. I had lost my home, my possessions and much of the stability I had once known. Eventually, a door opened for me to move into a new house in California. I had absolutely nothing to put inside it. No furniture. No bed. Nothing to make it feel like a furnished home. I remember sleeping on the floor. But I wasn't upset, I was content. I had come through so much, and having a roof over my head and a peaceful place to live felt like an extraordinary blessing in itself. I remember thinking, "Okay, Lord. Thank You. We have a home." I didn't know how I would furnish it, but I trusted that God knew what I needed. And then something happened that I would remember for the rest of my life.

A day after moving into the house, some close friends came to visit. They were fellow believers who had walked alongside me through difficult seasons. They knew what I had been through, and they wanted to pray over my new home. As we prayed together, they spoke words of encouragement about God's restoration and the blessings they believed were ahead. During that time of prayer, I experienced a remarkable vision. I saw angels ascending and descending throughout the house. There were so many of them. In the vision, I saw what seemed like hundreds of angels moving up and down the stairways, some ascending while others descended. The house was filled with this extraordinary activity. I understood the vision as a sign of God's presence, His provision and the restoration He was bringing into my life reaching towards Heaven, with angels ascending and descending upon it. In the midst of that experience, I heard God say “Watch what I do.”

I sensed the delight of a loving Father who was excited to bless His child. It was almost as though He was saying, "I can't wait for you to see what I have prepared."I had no idea what was coming. The very next day, I received a call from a dear woman of God named Lola. She was a prophetic friend who has since gone to be with the Lord, and I will always remember the part she played in this story. She told me about a a friend of hers, I didn't think much of it at the time. I certainly wasn't expecting anything extraordinary. But I went and what happened next was beyond anything I could have imagined. Her friend gave me $10,000 worth of beautiful, brand-new furniture. Not just a few small items. Beautiful, high-quality furniture that I would never have been able to afford at that point in my life. Within approximately 24 hours, my home had been transformed. The home where I had been sleeping on the floor was suddenly furnished from top to bottom. Everywhere I looked, there was evidence of provision that I had not expected and could not have arranged for myself.

I was overwhelmed. Now I was surrounded by blessings. That experience changed something in my heart. I had always believed that God was faithful. I had always known that He cared for His children. But this was one of those moments when His love and provision felt deeply personal.
